Lid
Each lid is handmade to fit a specific coffin. The craftsman who weaves the lid will also make the coffin.
Plait
Every coffin features a hand woven plait. This forms part of the lid.

Handles
Natural processes create antique buff, buff, natural barked, steamed and white willow finishes. Natural dyes are used to create coloured willow handles. Alternatively, select rope handles. Either allows a weight of 30+ stone (190+ kilos) to be carried.
Screws or Toggles
Toggles or screws determine how the coffin lid will close. If toggles are chosen, our weavers will select the best colour to match the coffin design or colour toggles can be added to match on request. A very small number of coffins have been photographed with only toggle closures. In this instance, if screws are selected the image will not change. The Order Form will state the correct closure choice.
Base
Choose either a flat base or one with runners. Please contact your Funeral Director to find out which base they prefer for transportation.
